About BNB

Brother Nature Beards was founded by Scott Youngerman, a US Navy Veteran.

While serving, Scott was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and was medically retired 5 years after enlisting.

Growing up, Scott’s parents ran a health store that stocked essential oils and other natural products. Here he took an interest in the benefits that each ingredient had to offer.  As a firm believer that all natural is the best way to go for your beard and for your skin, what started out as a hobby turned into something bigger.

He started Brother Nature Beards to help inspire and show people that even if you have a disability you can still lead an amazing life, with an amazing beard.  

As of June 2023, Brother Nature Beards has undergone a change in ownership. Our names are Andy Upton, Jason Harrill, and Aaron Conner (L to R). Residing in Forest City, North Carolina, we have all three been loyal BNB customers over the last several years.

First, we want to thank Scott for all his hard work over the years. The passion he has for his products and his customers is clear to see. We are honored to take the baton from Scott and move forward.

Secondly, we want to assure you, our customers, that we are committed to continuing to offer the same products you know and love. We will not be altering existing products. We do have aspirations of adding additional products to our inventory. 

Third, we are committed to providing the same customer service values that you’ve received from Scott.

We understand the task at hand of continuing to uphold a standard of premium beard products and customer service that Scott has worked so hard to develop since he started BNB.

When Scott came to the personal decision to sell the business, he turned to Jason Harrill, a loyal wholesaler of BNB products in his retail store, Harrill & Harrill Design Co. for over 4 years. Scott reached out to gauge Jason’s interest in purchasing the business and continuing to take Brother Nature Beards forward. With this familiarity of the products on a personal-use and wholesale business level, Jason felt it was a no-brainer that he needed to get involved.

We stand committed that our customers will always be at the forefront of our operation.

We look forward to continuing to manufacture the same great inventory of products Scott has built with BNB. Our goal is to continue growing this company to new heights while maintaining our roots in all-natural beard products developed here in Western North Carolina.
